Lansing Town Center Committee News

In the fall of 2009 the Lansing Town Center Committee (TCC) contracted with HOLT
Architects and Trowbridge and Wolf Landscape Architects (TWLA) to develop plans for
a town center and business area in Lansing. A profile of the architects working on the
project is on the web site.
The TCC held a Public Meeting with the architects on January 19, 2010 in the Lansing
Town Hall. Peter Trowbridge did a wonderful job moderating the meeting which gave
residents a chance to express their ideas and concerns about development in Lansing.
The meeting was well attended and residents provided a lot of interesting ideas.
On March 4, 2010 the TCC met with the architects to see how their plans were
progressing. They have compiled a Summary of Public Comments made by Lansing
residents and are using them to formulate plans for a Town Center and business area.
Their plans, although in the early stages at this point, were none the less exciting. Town
residents will get a chance at the next Public Meeting to see what they have come up with
and to comment again on what they want to see happen in Lansing.
The second Public Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at 7:00 PM in
the Town Hall. Although the meeting will be publicized, please tell your friends and
neighbors so all residents will have a chance to see what is going on and express their
thoughts.
